I’m super OCD with my systems and have found myself into a few games requiring some touch-screen control mapping.
Usually all I personally use is my fiber cloth, it’s like the fancy cloth that comes with sunglasses. I want to know, is there a better option? Just curious what most people use. I used it on my bottom screen for my New Galaxy 3DS XL today and still noticed slight marks/prints. I just don’t want to ruin the screen in any way from “over wiping” it.
@CTmatic So long as you aren't using anything abrasive you shouldn't have to worry about "over rubbing" the screen. If you have really scrub to get marks off then you might try just a very very small drop of cleaning alcohol. Of course if you do that make sure the system is fully powered down and fully dry before you turn it back on. There are also clothes you can get that are specifically designed for cleaning screens - but I usually don't find them needed.
Honestly I usually just wipe the screen with the edge of my t-shirt. Done that for years without issue, though depending on the shirt some work better than others. lol

Microfiber cloths are designed for sensitive materials, so unless you're using a ton of force, they should be fine. It's the only material I'm able to use to clean my glasses, thanks to a special coating that makes them sensitive to coarser materials.
I've been using a microfiber cloth and LCD screen cleaner for 2+ years now on my screen with no problem. I clean the rest of my system with an alcohol wipe the kind you use before getting a shot for 2+ years now also.
