@VOKZEL Well, if you have a PC with an HDMI input, then you could, or you could check if the graphics card in your PC has such an input, otherwise shop for one. It needs to be 'HDMI in'. You could walk into any PC shop, and just explain that besides the PC, you'd like to display the output of your video game console on your monitor as well, and they should be able to help you out.
But of course, check your PC first. No need to shop around, if you've already got the right inputs on your PC...

Some monitors come with multiple ports - Mine has 3 ports so I have my PC plugged into one HDMI, my work laptop into the DVI, and my PS4/XB1 share the other HDMI port.

It depends on your monitor model. I use my Dell monitor for both my PC and Switch. I connect the Switch via HDMI and my PC via DisplayPort (my monitor supports both).
To change the output it's just a button in the monitor.
So it all depends if you monitor has multiple ports and supports several devices at once. Otherwise you could use something like this:
