Now I know that the topic of battery packs has already been discussed by many, but I believe there's one thing that has been neglected so far and that's the durability of the battery at different input parameters.
We all know that the Switch battery won't last forever and although there is an exchange service, we should really consider taking care of the battery as well as we can to extend its lifetime.
I am currently thinking about buying a Anker Powercore+ 26,800 PD Battery Pack but I am a little worried about the Power Discharge function of this battery pack. Now the spec says, that it can charge up to 15V/2A and the Switch is also going to support that but
1) Is Power Delivery going to shorten the battery life time by high voltages? And if so, is there any way to limit the Switch's maximum intake voltage (like disable Power Charge at the Switch itself) to protect the battery, only using Power Charge when explicitly enabled.
and
2) Does Power Charge really improve charging time or should I go with the regular 26,800+ version?
I know there are a lot of different opinions on this topic, so please just provide your input, I really want to know what the community thinks about this.
The Switch battery wont last forever, but Nintendo has always had durable batteries from high quality producers. My GBA SP still charges just fine. So long as you stick to the specs Nintendo suggests, you should have nothing to worry about for a long long time.
