  • They're both the first of their kind. (first Sony handheld and first ever hybrid console)
  • The 3DS will continue alongside the Switch despite being part of different generations just like how the PS2 continued alongside the PSP despite being of different generations.
  • They're both region-free while the PS2 and 3DS are region locked.
  • They both have almost the same shape of game cases.
  • PS2 has two analogs while the PSP only has one, just like how the 3DS has two screens and the Switch only has one.
  • They both had a Namco Museum announced for them very early in the system's lifespans when there was a hiatus on the Namco Museum series right before then.

Almost none of those things would make me think of PSP specifically tbh.

(Vita seems to be the more accurate comparison anyway)

All it would need for this comparison to be true would be Japan getting the entirety of the Virtual Console library, much of it being available in the US, and Europe getting a few Mario and Zelda games alongside most of the past Disney games.

Yeah, I'm still bitter about the PSOne Classics and how they were mishandled.

I don't quite have lots o' loot, because I'm from the Boot.
