Just got my first Switch! On the website it gives one of the methods of charging the joy cons to use the "included usb cable". However, my Switch only came with the HDMI and power supply. And the photo of the included items on the box only shows these as well.
Am I missing something? Is a new switch supposed to come with a Nintendo branded usb cable for charging?
@iyiyi I don't think you're missing anything, sounds like you want to charge the joy-cons. You can also charge them by sliding them on each side of the Switch console, while it's on its dock. The joy-con grip that comes with the console doesn't have a USB port, sadly, so that's the only way you can charge them now.

@iyiyi The "included usb cable" comes with Pro controllers. That cable has a standard USB plug on one end, and USB-C plug on the other.
The console does not come with that usb cable. So, your console box wasn't missing one. You can youtube "Switch unboxing" to confirm what consoles come with, if you like.
@iyiyi i only got a switch 5 months ago, mine does'nt have a usb cable either and i dont see anywhere to connect it to my controller, if there was a cable.
@iyiyi to charge the Joy-Con from the Switch requires you buy the Charging Joy-Con controller. That is a separate hardware that you will have to buy. And the Pro controller has their own USB cable to charge itself.
