Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but have you had any issues with the Switch needing to be very close to a wireless internet connection for it to pick up. It seems I can't go very far before I lose a signal. Thanks!

I have Virgin Media fibre broad band (200mbps download & 12mbps upload....and I always hit these or very nearly), yet with the Switch I got:

8 up, 2 down (docked)
20 up, 6 up (handheld)

Might have to look into hardwiring it in docked mode...

I'm having this problem as well, even though everything else in that section gets good and stable wireless connection. I'm tempted to have an Ethernet connection run and hardwire it..

@millarrp @Enoch72 I think I'll call Nintendo of America and see if what they think - I love the system, but it has to be in the same room of the router for the internet to work. This doesn't seem right. Thanks guys.

Yes my wireless is very poor on my switch. Doesn't connect after sleep mode and when it does it's like one dot connection. This thing is in the other room, but it's like only 20 feet max away if that. I was curious if anyone else had this problem seemed very odd to me for new tech.

Just to add another thing. When I was setting mine up with wifi in the same room right next to the modem I had issues with it not connecting.

EDIT: Google this issue, it's serious. I'm surprised this site hasn't reported on it yet its actually an important issue.

I've had a major problem with this. I can't find my access point at all and my neighbor's house 25 yards away I can find theirs! I've been very close to my modem, tried disconnecting it, turn my switch off and on numerous times but I can't find my access point. I need help!

@Hotshot605 I tried using my phone as a hotspot and still had issues - so it's not just my router

@ThomasBW84 have you heard anything about this? I called Nintendo support and tried some troubleshooting but no solutions yet.

@Masurao my speed seems to be ok, the signal distance is a big issue for me though. If I move about 15-20 feet I have no signal strength. Hope you're enjoying!
