Topic: Supervised Child eShop prompt only lists one Parent/Guardian

Hi folks. I did search first for the answer to this one for quite a while but no luck and just wondering if anyone has been in the same situation.

We have a Family Group setup with two ‘Parent/Guardian’ accounts and one ‘Supervised’ child account, and all three are linked to users on the Switch.

The Supervised account is restricted so eShop purchases on the Switch require a Parent/Guardian to enter their password… but here’s the problem: It only ever prompts for the password of the Parent/Guardian who is also the ‘Admin’. There’s nowhere to select the other Parent/Guardian so they can enter their password if the Admin isn’t around.

So is that just the way it is and only the Admin can authorise purchases for the Supervised user, or have I missed something?

@Balta666 Yeah it is used for other things because the Admin is a ‘role’ that’s attached to someone’s user account, so needs that person’s password and their 2FA authentication.

Ah well, no big deal I guess … a bit annoying but not the end of the world.

(It does seems pretty pointless though for Nintendo to allow any Parent/Guardian to restrict Supervised access to the eShop via the My Nintendo website… but then only one of them be can authorise anything via the actual Switch)
