Topic: Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe

So the Stanley Parable Ultra Delux is slotted for a summer release date on all consoles (supposedly). Is anyone else excited for it and when do you think it’s releasing?

It's a highly regarded walking simulator. Up there with What Remains of Edith Finch, Firewatch, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, etc. I'm interested, but I'll only be buying if a physical version is ever made available.

I heard it was really good, So I’ll definitely check it out on switch. I also heard it was more of a story then a gameplay game but I like stories so it sounds interesting.

It’s been delayed till next year. I’ve never been so sad about a delay in my life.😭

This is barely even a game. It's more like a "Choose Your Own Adventure" that has you restarting from the beginning multiple times so you can make different choices (as in "Do I turn left down this hall, or do I turn right?" so nothing with any real depth). You can see every permutation of a playthrough within a couple of hours, and there's little reason to ever play it again, so it's a short lived novelty. I was given a Steam key for free some time back, which I think is a fair price for what it offers.

Stanley Parable is weird in that its clearly top tier for what its going for, but I can't imagine that playing it for myself would be notably better than watching a Let's Play of it.

I wonder if it'll come with achievements like the ones you get on Steam.

One of them requires you to play it for an entire Tuesday, one not to play it at all for five years and a third requires hacking the game.

I love this game. Probably the funniest game on the Switch.
What do you guys think of it?

I've only played through the game a few times on the original version back then, I decided to pick this version up and I missed out on so much. Like right from the start I experienced stuff I've never saw before just because I overlooked it or something. Yeah I love this game, it's still funny. lol
