Topic: Sick villager? Help!

I have a villager that is wandering around my island looking sick or embarrassed? It’s hard to tell. He has little sweat drops and a red flush over his face and looks very sad. However when I speak to him he is completely normal and like nothing is wrong, but when the convo is over he goes back to looking sick again. Giving him medicine doesn’t do anything and I have spoken to all my other villagers to see if they have any insight, but nothing... I can’t find any info anywhere about what is going on! Please help if you know what’s happening!

First off, social distancing. How close were you when you two spoke? Do you have a nurse or Dr. on the island? He needs to be tested for Covid-19. Until you get a villager who is a Dr. or nurse, tell him to self quarantine. Shoot him with your slingshot repeatedly if he refuses. Get the wasps to sting him if he still relents. Go to Nook's Cranny, from time to time there are surgical masks there to buy. Or maybe it was at that ATM machine thing. But I got one. All the villagers need to be wearing those. Be safe out there! This virus knows no boundaries. You really need to start testing new villagers coming to your island. They may look well, but they may be carrying the virus!

@PennyDreadful27 : If a villager has purple(ish) spirals appearing around them and they're walking around the island with their head down, then it means that they are sad/despondent. I haven't seen any sad villagers in New Horizons yet, so my description may vary slightly. This usually happens if you're mean to a villager or if they have had an unpleasant conversation with another villager.

There's not much you can do except speak to them and hopefully cheer them up. Their mood will eventually improve if you leave them be for a while.

Villagers are always at home when they're sick though and giving them medicine will improve your relationship with them (and likely count towards having performed a favour/good deed for a villager).

I’ve had the purple spirals before so it’s not that. It looks like he’s sweating and has a red flush across his face and is walking sadly @Silly_G

@PennyDreadful27
Maybe they have argument with other villagers and somehow it ended up by sad feeling.
Just reload your game and they will back to normal.

Try to reload the game.
Save and Quit then reload your game.
Check your Marshall condition after reload.

@Anti-Matter I really wanted to know if there was something in game I could do😂, but if it seems like a glitch I may just have to reload. Thank you!
