Topic: Rumor: Skies of Arcadia Remaster incoming?

The hawt rumor of the day. Allegedly a Skies of Arcadia Remaster is in the works. Normally I wouldn't bite on most uncorroborated rumors, but I do love this game. So I hope the rumors are true.

I sincerely hope the rumor is legit! I've always wanted to play Skies of Arcadia ("Eternal Arcadia" in Japan, if I remember right), so much so that last year I retro-purchased the Legends version for my old Japanese Gamecube. Now I just need to find room and drag the console and a CRT TV out of the basement. But all that work! A remaster release on the Switch would be preferable by far.

I have my fingers crossed for fans of the game! I have never played the game nor seen anything about it, and even I would like to see this game get the remastered treatment. I certainly don't expect it to be on the same level as Metroid Prime Remastered, but having the game itself on more consoles is probably a treasure all its own.

Hope the rumours are true I haven’t had the chance to play Skies of Arcadia as I never knew about it.
Heard nothing but great things about it though.
Both versions cost an absolute fortune now and would definitely play a remaster of it especially if they make it multi platform as well so no one misses out.
As much I love my switch I only recently played on it again over Christmas with the Super Mario RPG remake.
Would be my first time playing Skies of Arcadia if they did do a remaster.
I do remember Sega themselves saying a few years ago that interested in doing a remaster and have been wanting to do a sequel for years.
Really hope the rumours are true.

It's a good game (I repurchased it in 2022 for over £100, and completed it a second time), and I'd welcome a cheaper option if I ever get the itch again, but I'd much rather play a sequel.

With the roll SEGA's been on lately in terms of shining a light on their more dormant series, a rerelease/remaster of Skies of Arcadia for modern systems wouldn't surprise me in the slightest with how much fans have been clamouring for it for years at this point. I especially would be thrilled about it given my recent fixation on RPGs as a genre (so much to the point where I've already been considering picking up a Gamecube copy of the original for my Wii XD) so finally being to play SoA would have me over the moon

If it happens I hope there will be a Switch 1 version if it can handle the remaster as I never get a new console at launch because I'd have to miss out on the late-life exclusives on the previous-gen console which are usually the best games a console gets.

Would love Sega to do a remaster as I’ve never played Skies of Arcadia as I never knew about it back then and when I did get to know about it is was too late since both versions cost an absolute fortune now.
