I'm only an hour into this. It's an isometric action game about a man who tried to escape a life of violence - only to be sucked back in after his sanctuary of peace is invaded. First and foremost the gameplay is quite enjoyable, it's like a 2.5D version of Sleeping Dogs. A game that lets the player eliminate enemies via martial arts, ballistic weapons, environmental weapons, or misc items that can be used as melee weapons.
It's ultraviolent and glorious. The only downside is the performance. With enough enemies and effects on screen the framerate begins to nosedive, making the game borderline unplayable. It's a shame really. There's a seriously good action game here that I might consider to be a hidden gem, if only the game engine didn't buckle.
