One of my all-time favorite games is on Switch. I'll be stuck at work for several hours. Could someone tell me who the publisher is for the game? That'll inform me as to who might release this physically.

@Ryu_Niiyama Ninja'd by a fellow shmup lover. Thank you very much.
Alright, so the publisher is Live Wire Inc. Who also published ESP Galuda II, Mushihimesama, and DoDonPachi Resurrection on Switch. Knowing that, I think it's fair to assume Limited Run Games will lock up the opportunity to release this physically in Murica. And I would assume it'll be distributed in Japan through their new partnership with 8-4, SuperDeluxe Games.
A YT shmup enthusiast made a great video covering each version of the home ports for RS. He maintains the Switch version is the worst version of the game, which I don't disagree with. Still, if you don't want to fork over $200 for a Saturn copy, I think the $20 Switch port is more than sufficient. Better yet, put it on your wishlist and wait for a discount.
But if you have more than a passing interest in shmups, please, play the game. Also. If you want a dose of the game's lore, let the game sit at the title screen for about twenty or thirty seconds. You'll be treated to a five-minute animation that tells the story's prologue.

Well, it took me five hours to build up enough lives (27) and weapon strength (28) to complete one playthrough of story mode on very easy difficulty. The issues with the soundtrack not properly looping and some screen tearing when the background rotates are slightly annoying, but the game runs fine otherwise.
My money's down on a physical copy. Say what you will about LRG, but I entreat you to throw down money on the greatness that is Treasure. Vote with your wallet. Perhaps convince them to bring more of their catalogue to the Switch.
