What up Nintendo Life fam?! Hope y'all had a great Easter! I have some questions after playing the intro to the Unicorn Overlord demo. I really like what I am seeing but...
1) how much of this game is cutscenes and story? I don't have long swaths of time to game, which is why the Nintendo Switch is so great for me! Triangle strategy was beautiful and had some of the best tactical gameplay I've ever played, but holy smokes. I would play for 15 minutes and then watch cut scenes for 45... I never got through it all the way.
2) I often play my switch while working out, I love the real time aspect of this game, but I'm wondering if I can pause the real time in order to issue commands (like in Faster Than Light for example). Precision and speed are difficult while running on the elliptical.
3) How are the higher difficulty settings? Do they feel fair?
Thanks for your time guys! I'm posting what's on mobile so please forgive any crazy typos.
For the record RE: Triangle Strategy, many of the cutscenes are purely optional, and the game marks which ones are necessary for the story, I believe. Also, I don't know how far you got, but the beginning is probably the most excessively story-heavy portion of the game. It balances out a bit later on. Especially with the free battles that aren't connected to the narrative.
Currently Playing: Metroid Prime 4: Beyond (NS2); Corpse Factory (PC)
2) Yes you can. There is a setting in the options menu where it will pause automatically after a unit acts. Otherwise you can press A to pause and give commands.
3) It's a bit on the easy side depending on how you build your units.
