Topic: Playing Mario Kart 8 online - newbie question

FIrstly im sorry if this sounds really basic question but i am a little confused.

I bought my wife a switch yesterday with a copy of mario kart 8, we love the game!

I also bought a membership online with expansion pack for one user, not the family plan.

However in the future (once we are not totally useless at the game) we would like to play agaisnt other people online at the same time. ie in same race Would i need to upgrade to family plan for us both to play online agaisnt other people or can 2 people play online under her account?

@chris_35 When you load Mario Kart 8D, you have to choose which account you're using. Make sure you choose the account that has the online membership. Then, once in the game, you can just go to online multiplayer and 2 people can play, but you won't be playing under your user account/name, you'll be playing under the name that has the membership.

If you wish to play with 3 or more players in the online lobbies then you'll need multiple Switches, multiple copies of the game, and multiple online memberships.
