Apparently this is PSO2 rebuilt on a new game engine.
Coming to Switch 2021...exclusive to Japan...again.
sigh...makes me one sad panda.

Yeah I would absolutely love to have this. Would even spend a significant amount of money on in-game purchases. Sadly I am a sucker for cosmetic items in games.

Just a news updated bump of sorts. For the past couple years I've been waiting for Xbox Series X to become more abundant, to the point where I could just go on Amazon and click "purchase". All just to play this game. But just yesterday I heard the news that the Xbox exclusivity is coming to an end and that PSO2 is making its way to PS4 at the end of August.
That's $500 saved. Now I won't have to spend a dime to play the game I've been eager to play.
