Hi i brought my son a switch and the 24 month online membership for christmas. He activated the membership got it working. Somehow he managed to reset the switch and now its saying he as no membership. I tried putting the number in again and saying its been used. Ive contacted nintendo but no reply. Can anyone help please
@Clare84 Either one of these links will explain what happened after resetting (or initializing) the console, and what to do to regain access to your purchases and memberships:
@Clare84 Eshop and Nintendo Switch Online membership purchases are tied to your Nintendo account, which is tied to your email address. So, I don't think you lost it. You just need to re-link the Switch to the Nintendo account, which I believe, is done from the console. It's been a while, so my memory is fuzzy.
Since the Switch launched, I've never heard of anyone losing things they purchased. You can always re-download games if they are ever deleted.
@ThanosReXXX how do you relink? My son is still signed into his account. Just saying no online membership. I have just brought him another membership but still saying the among us game that i brought him i need pay for it again.
@Clare84 Like @WoomyNNYes I'm a bit fuzzy on the specifics, but if memory serves me, then simply linking an account to a user as if it was the first time you linked it, should do the trick:
@Clare84 As other mentioned you need to contact Nintendo Support in your Region for help on this. Nintendo Memberships are not something NL can help with that is something of data Privacy that NL nor anyone else on here can help with.
@Clare84 sounds like the NSO subscription and some purchases are linked to a different account with a different emailadres. Any chance that after resetting the switch, your son created an account with his own email address, instead of re-logging in with your email address?
