Hello hello, I've looked around the forum and I don't think I've found any thread on this subject (sorry if there is one and I haven't seen it).
Yesterday I tried for the first time the online multiplayer of GBA (NSO) and after that, I tried to play with my partner in local multiplayer but I didn't succeed. My question is the following, it seems that within the NSO games (Nintendo 64, GBA, etc) there are titles that allow local multiplayer with the same switch and there are some that don't. Is it really so? Is there a list of NSO games that allow local multiplayer on the same switch?

@Cafena Don't know for sure as I haven't tried it myself yet, but my guess would be that the games which had local multiplayer on the same system originally (N64 games for example) would still have it while those that required multiple systems (GBA) still require those and so probably also an NSO subscription for each one.

@JohnnyMind That was my theory, it makes some sense but it's still an arbitrary limitation (in the original system it makes sense but it's an emulation, so they could have added that feature). I've read that some n64 games on the original system allow local multiplayer (Pokemon Stadium) but don't allow it on the app. So I wanted to ask if there was some detail I wasn't seeing.
I'll try again later, thanks!

Re-Edit: Mystery solved, the consoles that originally allowed more than one player do support local multiplayer (including Pokemon Stadium). Handhelds on the other "hand" don't (at least GBA), the local multiplayer option refers to multiple Switch sharing a network.
It's a pity, we'll need a second switch to couch co-op Kirby & the amazing mirror.

@Cafena Good to hear that's the case, it would've been weird and sad if you couldn't at least play Pokémon Stadium etc. in local when you originally could!
Unfortunate to hear that you won't be able to play Amazing Mirror in couch co-op for now, but if you're not in a hurry I'd wait to see if Switch 2 will have backward compatibility including NSO continuing on it as it should (both in the sense that it better do that and that it's likely considering Nintendo's history) because in that case it could be possible to use that as your second system instead of getting a second Switch for that!
