Topic: Nintendo Switch system update ver 10.0.0: What features do you want to see?

I know right?!?!

All I want is folders. I like the OS light and snappy as is.

Making Bluetooth support happen and also PC software so you can download and update your data should in future Switch Pro comes out you can move your data without having to use the internet to do the update.

Folders!!!! And themes.
Ohh and a a sort of miiverse whould be neat

i am mostly digital so three quarters of my library tapers off screen

• Folders. Need I say more?
• Themes
• Built in voicechat and messaging.
• Bluetooth support (cmon I have to switch my headphones when I move devices)
• Better friend system (be like twitter where you have your username and then your account name for when people search you up)
• Fix the E-Shop layout

Reviving this topic because a lot of people have started speculating that 10.0 will come out in early January (or maybe, according to the network maintenance schedule.)

@andrew20 @LetsGoSwitch Hate to break it to you, but the eshop isn't in the system's firmware, it's technically a webpage. Updates always occur at different times from System Updates.

I'm guessing it's going to be like... a messaging system that only works if the game is closed, requires friend codes, limits you to one message per day, and only lets you pick pre-written phrases.

I'm dying for a dark mode eShop background. If I'm docked, looking at the eShop at night, that blazing white background is so harsh on a TV that I have to grab the remote to kill the tv's brightness just so I can browse. Forgive me if I've said this elsewhere.

I'd go for increasing the friend limit to 500

Nintendo Switch eShop is based on WebKit, so I don't think the music will be needed.

Does anyone believe that version 10.0 is coming on 6th/7th january? I can't see it. Why would a sytem update need network maintence?

Also, nintendo is being quiet on it.

Here is what I think happened. Nintendo know the Wii U was a failure, so they release the Switch earlier than it should have been released so that they could start making money. As a result of that, they didn't have the time to release a proper OS for it, that is why it released with not many games. That is also why it launched without a way to backup save data. Once they had spent the first year getting games sorted they started sorting out other things, such as cloud save, switch online, Eshop improvements. The question is why it has taken them almost 3 years to sort everything out.
