I don't like how the official page doesn't tell us which games are in the collection, just platforms. MK1, MK2, MK3, UMK3, and MK4. Along with the non-arcade versions of those games you probably won't play beyond a few minutes for nostalgia's sake. But personally, as much as I'm excited for this release, I think it's a missed opportunity to remaster Shaolin Monks.
Wario64 suggests that this is a Switch 2 release that'll be on cartridge.
But that's based on retail listing box art, which is never 100% accurate. So...ehhhhh, I don't believe it will be.
LRG seems to have finally ditch PS4 releases now. Not that it bothers me since other companies are doing their releases for that console. But I feel the Switch will be the one folks will go for alot anyways.

Physical games published by Atari are pretty easy to find, which is great. I hope it's no different this time around.
I'm still waiting for the announcement of Mythologies: Sub-Zero; it and the Trilogy were the games in the series I played the most, on my N64 in the early 2000s.
I will probably be picking this game up at some point probably for the Series X. It would be nice to have all the games on one system even though I own alot of them already.

My only disappointment with this release is that the Switch 2 version doesn't appear to be cross-compatible with the Switch 1. It would be fantastic to have a physical copy that can be played on both systems (ironically, the Switch 1 version may perhaps be the most versatile in that respect).
If there was room left on the Switch 2 cartridge (and the Switch 1 version was an entirely different build), then surely they could have thrown in the Switch 1 build as a bonus?
In any case, I'll favour the superior version, though I imagine that the only real difference will be in the A/V quality of the included documentary materials as opposed to the classic games themselves.
A step in the right direction for physical releases. It would be nice if Mortal Kombat 11 and 1 would also see the complete physical treatment at some point. It seems almost a pity that such a fast, high-capacity cartridge is being utilised for such old games when they could be better used elsewhere.
