Will Purchase Okami HD for the Switch if it get a Physical Release, other wise I will just pickup either the PS4 or Xbox one copy instead, because I don't like purchasing Digital only Switch games that I can get Physical copys for elsewhere.
It's been a long time since I played this, as I originally got it for the Wii and had a great time with it. When I saw it was getting rereleased on other systems during the Wii U lifecycle I was hoping for a port with touch screen controls, but I'm somewhat glad they decided to port it to the Switch with not only touch screen but motion controls as well. I'm guessing traditional controls will be included as well though, for those who don't like the alternative control schemes.
Now I'm hoping that it'll do well enough that we might finally see a sequel!
@Zyrac Truthfully, I can't wait to play that game, but I want to clear my 3DS backlog first. I just need to finish Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, and Star Fox 64 3D, and then I'll likely get Okamiden. I only fairly recently got a New 3DS XL with several games, but once I got it I started making a wish list on Amazon with games I intend to get. Okamiden is one of them, but every time I see Okami mentioned I want to finish my backlog so I can get Okamiden.
Capcom is really starting to come around in terms of support now. This game looks beautiful. Can't wait to try it out!
Also nice to see how much effort they're putting into the ports, with great gyro controls in Revelations/Revelations 2 and touch/gyro controls for Okami HD.
I wonder how good the drawing controls will be for Okami on the tv? In the trailer it looks kinda janky but thats the trailer, I hope it'll work fine.
Although picturing myself drawing with the pro controller gives me a bit of a chuckle.
People might think I'm childish for my picture, and I am.
Favorite games: Super Mario Odyssey, Super Metroid, Mass Effect 2, Red Dead Redemption, and Sonic Generations
If you like Kirby, then you are a person I can trust.
Rewatching the Direct, we HAVE to use motion controls when docked? I was hoping for traditional controls, motion wasn't that bad, but there were parts that were annoying. I heard that some brush attacks were seemingly impossible on the Wii. :/

Keep it PG-13-ish.
@Link-Hero Mostly only if you did the sidequests to get those advanced brush techniques. I do remember the lightning bolt being particularly finicky on Wii...

i have it on ps2 but didn't play much.
i want to get this but that drawing thing is just a silly gimmick. i just hate that type of stuff. all it does is get frustrating. the touch panel may solve a little of that but using the sticks was a nightmare and the wii-mote version... well; the wii-mote was junk about 99% of the time.
@ieatdragonz I played Ōkami HD on the PS3 and I didn't have any problems using the standard controller for the brush. It does feel weird at first because I'm used to the Wii version but eventually you stop paying attention.
I feel like I'll just be using standard controls for this version, I'll mainly be playing on the TV and my joy cons barely connect sometimes so motion controls probably won't work. The touch controls might be entertaining for a couple of minutes
