Hi.

Hopefully someone else has experienced the same issue. After playing snipperclips or 12 switch And return to home screen and cannot get the joy cons to return to normal when connecting back on the grip. They still stay in 2 separate joy con mode.

Can anyone help.

Shocking. Problems with the Joy Cons?

As far as I heard here on NL, there was just a tiny fraction of a handfull of people affected (although unclear whether even these few were real and not Sony/Microsoft paid troublemakers) and whatever little problem it was, it got fixed with the "1-Day-Update" Patch. All fixed 120%. You need to follow the instructions to do it. There should be an article on NL about it.

Do you perhaps happen to own an aquarium?

You might have better luck ignoring some of the posters here, Nintendo's latest success has found some real detractors.

As a regular old switch owner, I've already had my fair share of joy con disconnections. My advice would be to maybe see if you can test other joy cons

when you swap from joycon mode to the controller attachment mode, on the home screen ( or controller sync screen) press both L & R button (might be ZL & ZR) on each controller at the same time. believe this is what i did to sync both joycons back into 1 controller.

Hi on the main screen one of the icon boxes has a little joy con pic in it, click on that and then choose change pairing order then you press the top L and R buttons on each joy con to set it back to using both as one controller. A bit annoying but that was the only way I've worked out! Only got mine yesterday though and I love it!

How is it 'unclear'? Can you cite any reliable sources of is it just a feeling?

That happened to me yesterday too. It seems like the JoyCons stay in certain configurations until you change them in the UI. I believe it's in the "controller" (can't remember exactly what it's called off the top of my head) section.

@k8sMum Well, after reading the news and googling around, apparently you are right, they are more than just a tiny fraction of handful people with JoyCon problems.

Reliable sources? Google "Switch Joy Con desync" or "Nintendo Switch Joy con Garbage" (if you want to read the less contained recent Nintendo shoppers). I did not make that up.

Other than that, 4 days later, someone has a fix for it:

But I would consider it to be a quest or a challenge of some sort, like in Zelda. You need to level up on the Nintendo bridge by gaining experience in fixing the Nintendo Switch. Yes, there is warranty and perhaps even a simple money back guarantee, but I for one, I think that watching that video, following the steps, it has sparkled that Nintendo adventure fever. After 300 quid on the console, 65 for a game and 70 controller, I really didnt expect to get any side missions, but Nintendo always had a soft spot for eastern eggs for the true hardcore gamer (and mechanic).

I ran into this problem too. Starting Breath of the Wild fixed the issue right away.

Got married.
