Hey everyone!

My partner and I have 6 joy-cons between the two of us and we're always having at least one of the lot die on us. I've been looking into joy-con chargers and there's a lot out there. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts, suggestions, experiences with the Joy-Con chargers on the market, and if you think it's necessary to get a Nintendo licensed product. When it comes to charging I get nervous about the power coming out of the charger and if it will damage the battery of the controllers.

Thanks for the help!

I've had experience with the officially licensed charging grip. It's basically the Joy-Con grip with a USB plug in it to charge the Joy-Cons. It could be an option as it can charge one set of grips, and another could be charged while connected to the console.

Not much else to say about it other than it's a Joy-Con grip that charges, you get the added perk of having Joy-Cons ready in a grip if you use the included Joy-Con grip regularly.

Well since you and your partner have 6 joycons amongst yourselves I would recommend these charging ports which let you charge 4 joycons at a time.

They may be 3rd party but I doubt you'll get any issues with them, the reviews are almost all positive.

@iLikeUrAttitude Thanks for the suggestions! Fast snail was the one I was originally looking at because it was such a good deal, but then when I saw a Nintendo official one I didn't know if it would be better to go with that.

If you keep 2 on the system, and then a charger for 4, you’re set.

I have official ones, but also Nyko Charge Block which charges 4. But the reason I bought it is because the Nyko Charge Block can daisy chain up to 4 for various controllers, for Switch Pro, Joycon, PS4 and Xbox One and PS Move. So one USB port charges a PS4 controller, Xbox One controller, Switch Pro Controller and 4 Joycon. I love it.

But they are being discontinued and are sold out globally… except for Amazon.de (Amazon Germany).

Either way, which one you get doesn’t matter, they all work the same. Nothing to worry about with 3rd party chargers.

Awesome, I'm glad it's not a big deal to buy third party. Thanks for the input!

Just make sure if you get the NES Switch controller type they will not fit. I had to find one on Amazon that would fit those controller and charge them.
