Topic: I lost my mario kart 8 deluxe game with the dlc. If I were to buy another one would the dlc transfer over to the new copy since I downloaded the dlc on eshop

I recently lost my favorite game. Mario kart 8 deluxe. And it had the dlc on it. I really need Input because I'm afraid that I might have to buy the dlc again. I have all the data from that game saved on my switch so should that transfer to the new game?

@Kirishima Yes, DLC isn't tied to a specific game card so if you replace it and just boot it up it will be like nothing's changed, your save data will also carry over, by the way.

As @TeaCatherine said, the only thing you will have to replace is the base game. All DLC and your progression is on your switch / SD card.

DLC, eShop is tied to the account that bought or downloaded it. Only factor with the physical is the saved space on the Cart to download the game if you don't have at least a 1tb card.
