I have a gamestop near me that is doing the midnight release that I can be there for. I never pre ordered the switch because I didn't know about it until after the pre orders were sold out Anyway I just wanted to know how long I should wait in line for the switch. I already have botw pre ordered so I am good on that so what is the point in having botw and no switch?
Well, most stores give people in waiting in line a ticket of some sort instead of a mad dash when the doors open (especially tiny Gamestops... where the heck are you going to dash to? lol). So you'll know pretty early in the night if you're going to get one or not.
Edit: Oh, yea... I would just show up as early as you possibly can.

Thanks, this helps a lot I don't want to wait in line all evening just to find out I can't get one lmao.
Hey all, I phoned my local EB Games, and they said they would open at 9 AM on Friday (and have walk-ins). I live in a pretty small city, and the hours are advertised as 10AM-9PM online, do you guys think with past experience that if I get there a bit under an hour early that would be enough?
Why don't you go around Wednesday and ask if there will be consoles for the walk ins to the manager? That way, you can be sure if the trip and the wait will be worth it.
