I'm tearing my hair out trying to find this option. I've followed youtube videos but the only option I have is "initialize" rather than the Factory Reset option. Can somebody provide me with a step by step as to where to find it???
@dodonintendo Factory reset = initialize. Sounds like you already found it, but the terminology was tripping you up. Understandable.
On nintendo support's site, if you put "factory reset" in their search bar, it will point to "how to delete all content and settings", and that page shows the menu path to "initialize". If I remember right, when you initialize the console, it shuts down. Then, when you boot it up, it will boot up like a brand new unused console, and will walk through prompts for setting up the console.
