Topic: help with hdmi switch

I have a Blackweb 3 to 1 HDMI switch, the idea being that it would be seamless swapping from the switch in docked mode to the xbox one.

HOWEVER... with the xbox on and plugged in (or off for that matter) when I insert the switch into the dock, I get a blue screen for no signal.

If the xbox is NOT plugged into the hdmi switch, it works fine.

ideas???

Even with the HDMI switch, you would need to change the signal. Have you tried that?

@r3klus I have had consistently bad experiences with HDMI switcher boxes. I have tried several from several companies on 3 different TV/PC monitors. They are unreliable at best. Sometimes they work as intended for several days, other times they cause flickering, or no picture at all. Others have told me they have no problems however. So I don't know, maybe all 3 boxes I tried were all defective...

@GyroZeppeli Change the signal? Not necessarily. It depends on the kind of switch that you use, though.
I use this relatively cheap, but still very reliable one:
https://www.amazon.com/Hhusali-Intelligent-Supports-HD1080p-B...
It has both an automatic mode, and a manual one, that can be activated by connecting the included IR sensor and then using the also included remote control to switch inputs, but if you don't use these, then the switch just goes to whatever signal is put through it, as long as it is one signal at a time.

So, if you have two devices connected to the switch, and both are on, then you'd have to switch inputs yourself, but if you only have one device switched on at any one time, it automatically displays that signal.

Currently, I've got my Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and Nintendo Switch connected to it, and it works flawlessly.

So, might also be something for you guys, @r3klus @Heavyarms55. Considering the low cost of it, I'd say it's definitely worth giving it a try.

@ThanosReXXX Well that’s how it is on mine. The brand is Aibesser, it always works without fail.

Edit: It seems to have been taken off of Amazon for some reason. Interesting. It was a pretty cheap TV mount switcher. Looks similar to this.

@GyroZeppeli Yeah, that's why I said it depends on the kind of HDMI switch you use, although the one you linked to, seems to use the same kind of setup/configuration that mine does, the only thing that's different, is the shape of it, but essentially they should all work in the same manner.

...I'm thinking of getting an hdmi switcher myself, I want to see if I can do dual screens again with my computer. But my TV only has 2 hdmi ports. Bleh...

Here's the thing buy cheap get cheap. If those don't have the chipset to Switch(pun) then it will not work.
