This game looks like a 2D masterpiece. I know it’s basically a zelda ‘clone’ but the art, atmosphere and music reek quality. It just looks so cool. The weapon and skill inventory look so diverse, and man, you get a bloody crossbow! I’m just hoping for a good story (miss a good zelda story) and some fun side quests that have in game meaning (a bit like Majora’s mask, not BOTW).
I’m so hyped for this game!
Does anyone know roughly when this will release on switch? I know it has a kickstarter but thought it’d been in development for a while?
Ok the Kickstarter has started but it looks like for them to create a switch verion they need $100,000??
What a crock of sh*t, I thought they said the switch version is confirmed, what a lie:
@Bunkerneath I don't usually follow Kickstarter at all so I may be wrong, but reading it (including the small script at the bottom) sounds like hitting the stretch goal will merely let them work on the Switch version at the same time, presumably also releasing it at the same time. If they don't hit it, they will just have to wait until after the PC version is released to work on the Switch version.
As I'm in the UK, I picked the Digital Copy and put in an extra $50 (for the physical when it came along), but with postage ($5 for US, $16 for international) all together it took my pledge to $81.
Well its made the Reserve and the $50 physical only option is now active.
If it doesn't get to $110,000 this will mean that the switch version will be created BUT delayed by up to a year after the PC release. Don't ask me why.
It's going to come down to the wire on the Switch physical copy.

$101k+ as of this post, 8k+ short of the extended Switch goal with 12 days left.
Looks like a Switch physical copy is all but assured

Dawnthorn is a standalone prequel to Hazelnut Bastille, set in the same universe as Hazelnut, but in an 8bit character! It is almost like the game that would have come before Hazelnut, during the NES generation!
Dawnthorn is built in the same engine as Hazelnut, and features many of the same enemies and items, but as totally different 8bit versions! It also features a lot of content completely unique to itself, and an entirely different overworld and dungeon list! The overworld will be overbrimming with secrets to find!
