I have held onto every game that I've ever purchased. There's a part of me that cannot let go, even if the game is terrible.

I have sold botw and xenoblade 2 since year 2021.
I bought completely wrong games for me.

I never sell any physical game me and my family have. Even when the console is phased out and doesn’t have any features anymore (e.g. online play) we still hold onto them. I can’t sell physical games as well since my main console is digital only, which has multiple pros and cons. I think I maybe did sell a game in the past, which was The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes but I don’t remember if I did sell it or not. The game was decent, but I got bored of it and every person I met online to play with acted uncooperative or disconnected at the worst of times. You can play the game offline in single-player, but it’s annoying and difficult, as it requires you to repeatedly swap between three of the Links you play as.

People complain about the high prices of Nintendo games, but the ability to resell them makes up for this. This IMHO is the main advantage of physical media: even if much of the game is an extra download, the fact that it's resellable makes the financial commitment minimal.

But there are other considerations. I recently sold my Animal Crossing on eBay for about the same price I bought it not because I wanted to stop playing it, but because I wanted to switch to the digital edition (which was on sale). It's one of those frequently played games on our shared Switch, and I got tired of constantly swapping out the cartridge to play another physical game.
