Topic: Changing game without closing the old? And docking question

Hey.

Finaly i got my switch

I have two question:

When not using the console, do it charge in docking all time?
How do i completly turn the switch off?

I played 1-2 switch game and i pushed home botton and changed game card to Zelda. When i did that it stand i always must exit the game before taking it out, Could this take damage to the console? Or is it just that game would not be saved? I will close game next time but my kid would forget it some time i think.

I found out that i can hold the power button on the console screen to get it off completly. But do it charge always in docking?

I already took Zelda out without closing it first (whoops lol) System seems fine, though. I doubt it would do anything to the system. The only thing would be perhaps damaging the game card.
