Topic: Boarding the airship - Platform

Hey guys!
I'm playing Super Mario Bros U Deluxe and I have my Power A controller. In the middle of the "Boarding the Airship" phase it is needed to use a platform like a tilt thing. I try to move my controller or press any button but there is no way to make that moving. Is there anything I need to do? Am I missing something?

Are you sure your controller has gyro? Since it's a 3rd party one it may not.

Try tilting it in portable mode to see if it's your controller or not.

To be honest I don't know. I tried using the console itself and it worked. I guess the Power A controller is not official?!?! I bought it from Best Buy. May I need to buy the Pro controller instead?

@dimago Power A is officially licensed, but that doesn’t mean it has the same features. It just means Nintendo allows them to have a fancy sticker, essentially.

@dimago to suppliment @HobbitGamer, for clarity, if it's not a Nintendo joycon or pro controller, all other controllers are third party, and never have all the features joycon/pro-controllers have - likely, to avoid directly competing with pro controller & joycon. Many times gyro or rumble that are cut. Infrared camera & amiibo scanners are usually absent. And, the product details for third party controllers can be vague, making it difficult to know what functions they have & do not have. Im not criticizing quality, here. It's just good for people to know, if anyone is interested in a third party controller.

Yeah, my Power A controller does have gyro, but it lacks rumble (and the Amiibo reader & IR sensor, obviously).

I need help on this section of Mario Bros on my Switch and don't know where to go to ask. Have question re.: Boarding the Airship- once am on the platform (had to switch controller and now that works), and going on the track, when I go to the very top of the incline, can't see what is happening and my player falls off and down. Have tried reducing the picture setting on the game console and am using it connected to a Sony TV- is there another adjustment? When I play the video, it shows the whole screen, but when playing the game, it does not show what is to the right as I reach upwards and just fall down. Any help is appreciated.
