Yeah, I really enjoyed it too I liked how, even if you lost, you'd still be earning currency - if wasn't too punishing that way as it felt like you were always making progress...I was also super impressed with the accuracy pf the motion controls - good cardio as well if you play like I do! (the ol' button mash, arm flail technique ) ..didn't think much to the volleyball personally - but I played with a perma-smile throughout which has to be a good sign!
@TheLZdragon Well you could do that in the settings menu. Or maybe there's a lot of lag?
I suggest turning off the console and then turning it on again.
Well I'm deleting it and redownloading it to access practice mode (because why bother including a practice mode for a new control scheme, eh Nintendo?)
I did notice the right arm kept curving even though I wasn't tilting it
Or better idea, why not move with the joy stick? It's not that inconvenient to use...
I really liked the 1v1 combat and v-ball. I agree with Pigeon that you seem to be tied too close to your teammate in 2v2. And does anyone know how to change which opponent you're facing in free for all? I kept aiming at a person far away and getting crushed by someone standing right behind me. All in all a very good game in my opinion. Look forward to picking it up on launch day.
Surprisingly, I actually did the best with Master Mummy out of anyone this time. I found a really good rhythm with the arm combo I was using, and I won wayyy more than I lost.
A Ribbon Girl gave me some trouble this session. I actually managed to turn the tables later on with Mechanica, of all people. Using the time-honored strategy of hovering in front of the opponent and immediately retaliating thanks to armour. Armour seems to be a bit of an issue for Ribbon, now that I think about it... since she generally does not have charged punches to use in the air unless she spends a good amount of time prepping them on the ground.
The ability for Mechanica to "strafe" while charging makes her feel a bit like Helix, actually. I'd consider her a good first step to eventually learning him.
@AndyWV323 Press the Up button with your left index finger to switch who you target (I'm assuming you're using motion controls)
And I agree, 1v1 and V-Ball are a lot of fun. 1v1v1 and 2v2 are a bit too chaotic for me.
I know im joining the conversation a little late but whats everyones thoughts on ARMS then? I must admit im trying to avoid it like the plague. It just looks like a repetitive one trick pony to me. Dont get me wrong im not saying its a cash grab to the extent that 1-2 switch is but it just doesnt look like my sort of game. Whats everyones thoughts on the game?

After a not so much exciting first Testpunch, my hype got me fall in love in the second one, where i got better overall with controls and got better into mechanics. Game is deep on a gameplay basis, it doesn't matter if it is not so much complicated: you can't just do button smash. And the most important thing: strategy. Learn when to jump, dash, jump & dash, block, charge punches, curve punches and grab. As i said on my Twitter this can be a new frontier for fighting games. And as i said time ago this is a huge sleeper for the Switch!
