Topic: ACNH Villager Sleeping not working?

I am trying to get my Villager to go to sleep but can't or it's not working? I am using my Pro controller I can run and hope on the bed but if I just walk up to the bed the village won't go to sleep? How are others making the village go to sleep?

When the villager sleeps during the tutorial and time passes, that's a one time thing. At this point the game passes with real time, you can't just go to bed and sleep until the next day. You have to wait for the next day in real life, or time travel by changing the time on your system's clock.
