Just saw the news. It sounds really exciting, given that a lot of people haven’t been able to hint or “leak” any of the games that are going to appear in the Direct and the showcase being 40 minutes long. I wish I still had my Switch though
Hello there!
I never saw the leaks. Maybe I’ll have a look later.
Sorry about your switch.
@Yousef- I actually haven’t seen any “leaks” for the Direct and all the leaks were pertained to the date of the event.
It’s fine that I don’t have a Switch! It isn’t lost or broken, it just transferred locations. I’m hoping that I can get it back soon. I’ll still keep up with the announcements since I still love Nintendo
@Yousef- I remember being so preoccupied with my Xbox and didn’t care about the Switch going to another place, but now I want it back lol. I miss playing Smash and Splatoon! Those were my most favorite games on there.

If you’re curious, the character in my PFP is Flaky from Happy Tree Friends.

As I say for every presentation…. Nintendo, Sony, Microsoft, and whoever… give us at least one surprise. A nice one
Examples: HD2D Chrono Trigger (or another unannounced JRPG), Mario Galaxy 2 Port/Remaster (I don’t think too many people are actually expecting this), DK 64 Remake (come on Nintendo, get wild!)
@Croctopus I do think more N64 NSO games would be amazing too! There are a ton of other necessary games missing that I think a lot of Switch users would enjoy. It would be cool if they did announce a batch of titles like they did when they first released the N64 games on NSO to sort of give people an idea of what’s to come. I’m still a little surprised they haven’t released Banjo-Tooie or other obvious games like Smash 64 on there yet.
IMO this is the perfect time to bring COD mobile to switch. Not that we have a 10 year agreement in place starting next for switch 2. You get the player base ready for next year. Also, I really hope we get GTA V and IV. Pikmin 4 DLC would be great. Other than that a F-Zero GX remaster would be nice. That’s all I’m hoping for and honestly not expecting any to keep expectations in check.
@Yousef- I remember when I completed Banjo-Kazooie on the Switch I felt so empty since they never released Tooie on there lol. If they can get more rights to Rare’s titles and put them on the service, that would be exciting to see! Diddy Kong Racing getting an official re-release would be cool, since I have to rely on using emulation to play it and it plays really bad when you’re not using a controller. I’ve heard a lot of people requesting for more Rare titles on there.

Side Prediction: I think Prime 4 will get re-revealed here (it's finally time to make that prediction and not be pessimistic), but won't launch until next year as a cross-gen title, which we won't find out for awhile.

@Blooper987 This is probably the closest to exact accuracy for Nintendo direct predictions as it gets. Nintendo directs aren’t just all first party announcements, 25+ minutes of the presentation is always 3rd party games. The only thing I would dispute is Mario Party. There’s already been two Mario parties on switch, plus the NSO N64 trilogy. Nintendo consoles usually don’t publish more than that per console generation unless you are Hudson Soft during the GameCube era. If there is to be a Mario party, it’ll most likely be on the successor
I honestly don't know what to expect from this one. Mostly some 3rd party stuff and more remakes/remasters.
My only expectations:
Fire Emblem Genealogy Remake
Splatoon 3 Splatfest
Something on NSO (more Rare N64 titles would be nice)
Dragon Quest III HD-2D
Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition
Among Us update
Everything else is a mystery to me. I will make a prediction and say that Wind Waker and Twilight Princess will be absent; those will be saved for Switch 2 to give the system something Zelda during the wait for the next game, which is likely 6+ years out.
Edit: Totally forgot about Epic Mickey. We're definitely getting a release date for that.
@TheBigBlue Mario Party seems like something they would push out at the end of a consoles life instead of at the beginning of a new one. It's not a game that gets people to buy a console but it's a big seller that will easily hit a few million copies on Switch with how big its userbase is. I do agree that we already have plenty of mario party on the switch and we don't need anymore, I just don't think Nintendo tends to think that way as much.
Also yeah, always gotta keep your expectations in check. 3rd party will always have a larger presence. I'm still expecting a decent amount of Nintendo games with 5 or 6 titles, since we know absolutely nothing after July about Nintendo's 1st party stuff. And personally, as long as I get something else Ace Attorney I'm happy no matter what happens. It can be 30 minutes of Bakugan and I'll still be happy with my silly lawyer game lol
