I’m doing act 2 for a second time with different flame lord and brought different team and one of the totally optional recruits has a unique conversation with the boss King Gilchris - the amount of stuff here is amazing and if you don’t let that recruit near him you never hear it but he instakills that recruit on my team so I had to rewind time and trying to figure out how to make them survive it.

The DLC needs to fix the paralogs.

It's the worst part of the game. Make them optional, but unmissable. Start of the chapter the characters need to be on the map and ask you to participate and then make it happen on the specific day without fail.

The game is terrible when you waste 5 hours of your life because you don't realize after the Cai paralog you don't have enough turns to get to Orchel, or one quest is 2 turns too far away.

I think chapter 12 is impossible for Theodora. Too many quests and not enough turns. If the paralogs didn't waste turns it might be doable. And when the deadline for the chapter happens you lose a week as well so some of them are impossible.

@Misima It’s possible but I did Theodora last. This meant I had 15000 (5000 after end of act 1 times 3) to spend on upgrades from the raven stand. This made getting the max blessings from the gods and recruiting all the characters easier with all the discounts I bought on gifts and meals and carriage. I did have to use a guide that listed the dates and managed to make mistakes twice and ran out of turns so I had to repeat the chapter but managed to do every paralogue. At this point in game I had max renown and more than 50k gold so I didn’t do any quest that might interfere with doing a paralogue.

The game really wants the player to do one flame lord, then the next. Since I did Leda first she has the worst blessings in battle in my playthrough, I was considering redoing Leda all the way from the start to make battles easier with better blessings, maybe next year after I finish the game once.

After the best part of a week off, I have been grinding my way through Act 3. It is funny, cause I really struggled with Act 3 early on, and chose to use the retain XP option when failing cause I just want to see the credits in my life time, and as a result, my Chosen One is like 30 levels overlevelled and higher than everyone else. Combined with that heal for damage done on crit decoration and the Chosen One can now solo maps themselves near enough. I believe I am not up to the final push in Act 3, unless there is some big surprise coming.

Life to the living, death to the dead.
