@squiddu-real I mean, so long as the game looks good and is fun to play, I don't really care about the major technical stuff. Again, I really loathe Digital Foundry and what people like the people who run that channel have done for this industry as a whole. It's just a bunch of people chasing after graphics and only prompting developers to inflate their budgets while offering games that are forgettable outside of their graphics.

I mean I have to be honest I was shocked by how choppy it felt, and how low quality of a lot of the environments looked, given the Switch 2 has already proven it can really punch above it's weight, especially when held to 30 fps like this is.

But I also have to be honest, that after a while I just sorta adjusted and I sorta stopped noticing any of it. I am sure if I boot up my PC and go back to playing Borderlands 4 in 144 fps and then go back to this I will have to adjust back, but luckily for Fortunes Weave it takes up my every waking moment I am not working, eating or exercising currently, so I have nothing to compare it to. And it isn't like the Switch 2 edition of Xenoblade DE or whatever where the framerate just wildy tanks down and upwards, this just seems to remain consistently on the more sluggish end of 30 fps.

Plus, in a genre like Fire Emblem none of it really matters. It is not exactly excuses because the game should probably look and run better like on the principle of it, but it matters little really when it comes to actually playing the game.

@VoidofLight unless i'm missing something, i feel like that's more of an indirect result of their existence rather than something they intentionally did. shocker that some people like knowing these things but aren't maniacs about it, i guess

@squiddu-real I'm not saying they created their channel to do that, but the existence of Digital Foundry has only harmed games as a medium more than anything. It's one of the large reasons for why people care so heavily about performance and graphics instead of just.. playing the game. It's just a chain that I don't really care for at all.

Digital Foundry also gets stuff wrong constantly. I remember back when Tears of the Kingdom had its first slice of gameplay revealed, Digital Foundry did an analysis on the trailer and mentioned how "This game can't run on Switch 1, because it has volumetric clouds! This is a Switch Pro game!" It was asinine because in the end, there was no "Switch Pro," and the clouds weren't volumetric. They were just making up something based off of a trailer without having the game in their hands.
