Its that time of year again, perhaps the snow is starting to fall where you live, temperatures might be getting colder and the time giving and getting is upon us.
I thought it might be fun to share what we are asking for on our wishlists and maybe give others some ideas. So whatever winter holiday you celebrate what will you be asking for?
For me I am not asking for much a few video games, Stray on Switch, Dragon Age Veilguard. Also a few other things like some apparel from my teams, then of course cash if nothing else. To be honest I have way more fun giving things to others then getting stuff myself. Tis the season.

My backlog isn't really getting any smaller, so I probably won't get any games. I do like a lot of Bitmap Books stuff and I did play a lot of football (soccer) games back in the day, so might ask for the Game of Two Halves book. I've also just bought a Blu-ray player and am cancelling all my streaming services, so I'll likely get a few Blu-rays.
High end games I want to get before the year ends: Tron Bonne, Haunting Ground, Blood Will Tell, and Persona 1 (PS1). So far I've gotten Tail Concerto, Pokemon Soulsilver & Heartgold (CIB), for this month.
Mostly my family gifts each other books. The local bookstore has a sale this time of year so we raid it, working off of lists we provide, in what we call "Bookapalooza". We make long book wish lists, so that it's fun not to know what you'll end up with under the tree.
Other than that, I ask for Nintendo eShop cards. If I ask for a specific list of games, I'll be afraid to buy them myself as well if they pop up on sale. Also, CostCo has a discount so everybody wins.
My family doesn't buy games so any holiday game I get would be a gift to myself. I got Jamboree for myself with birthday money. For the holidays... it honestly depends on what are on deep black Friday sales. I may grab Mario vs DK if it's on sale. I have literally hundreds of games on my wishlist so if any of the third party games are on super cheap sales I may grab a couple.
I won't go too crazy this year because I have to save up for Switch 2 since we don't know when it's coming out.
For me, Sonic x Shadow Generations on Switch, and some Trolls stuff. I specifically want to get some series 2 Trolls Mineez since I've been collecting the series 1 figures all year long and want some of the new designs.
That's about it, I'm not asking for a lot outside the game and a few Trolls things. May get a PC game during the GOG or Steam winter sale like I usually do, not sure what game yet.
The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!
I want at least one more physical game for the Switch this Christmas, but I'm still deciding which one (whether it'll be a Nintendo game or a third-party).
From Nintendo I want Super Mario Wonder (yes, I haven't bought it yet), or Princess Peach: Showtime. The third-party games are much cheaper, and among the options are Burnout Paradise, No Man's Sky, Ori The Collection...
And with my Microsoft Rewards points I'll be able to get a digital Nintendo game for free in this Black Friday sale (which will start this week, I assume).
@Rodolfo6493 Wonder and Peach Showtime are both great — two on my favorite recent games. I would say Wonder is probably a bit higher quality and also maybe more universally enjoyable; I personally loved Showtime but it's a pretty weird genre of game which doesn't click with everyone, although if you enjoyed the demo you will almost certainly enjoy the full game as well.
@FishyS
I think Peach Showtime will be my choice, its price in physical media is usually better than Wonder here in Brazil. And there's also the issue of its gold points still being valid.
Wonder can wait until the beginning of next year.
Peach Showtime + Burnout Paradise will be great this Christmas.
