OK so even though I don't have a WiiU yet I do wish it'd gain momentum. I'm glad because it looks set to do just that.
Anyways I was in Gamestop picking up Project X Zone today and noticed something... the WiiU section was like BARELY ANYTHING compared to the rest of the store. The wall it was on was like this: | PS3/XBox/Vita | WiiU |
Those proportions are just not cool! Not sure if it's just my Gamestop, but that's just real poopy and it certainly doesn't help the WiiU's situation right now. Anyone else see examples of this?

It's because there aren't too many Wii U games out yet. Xbox 360 and PS3 have been out an entire generation, so they have a ton of games available. The Wii U just launched last year, and apparently suffered from a "drought" until recently.

It's pretty much the same at the Gamestops I've been to. Small section for Wii U, because that's about all it needs right now.

That is all.

What the poster above said. It's not that they have some sort of grudge against Nintendo, it's just that there isn't much out for Wii U at the moment, so there's nothing to expand the section with.

Even Vita (which I don't think has sold much more than Wii U) probably has a larger space, just because it's been out longer, and thus has more games to fill up shelf space with.

Heck, one of our GameStop's had an entire wall devoted to DS & Wii during their heyday, and to this day, the 3DS section is the first thing you run into on your way in.

I suppose It just was odd because it looked shoved away in a corner.
Hopefully as more games come out they'll make more room. The Gamestop at Universal City Walk had a nice-sized section, though.

Every store I have been in is like that. Wal-mart, Target, Frys Electronics. Its because there isn't much out for the Wii U, whereas the 360 and PS3 have been out for years now. Of course they would have bigger sections for something that has been out for years compared to something that has been out for months.

I can understand the fact that there's not so many games out yet for the WiiU, but the shops in my town don't even stock half of the available.
They wonder why the WiiU isn't selling, try giving people a bit more option from what's already been released, then it'll sell alot more.

At my local store there's actually a sizable WiiU section, although they did have to pad it out with some Nintendo merchandise and double-stacking of some games to make it look bigger. It's hard times, and you gotta appreciate the effort

always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
