On Switch, taking a break from Balan Wonderworld to play more Puyo Puyo Tetris 2. Was playing a few story missions over the weekend. On PC, Mirror's Edge and Bioforge as I got them on sale recently. Already completed the latter, so replaying again because I enjoyed it.

The resident Trolls superfan! Saw Trolls Band Together via early access and absolutely loved it!

The World Ends With You: Final Remix (Switch) - On Week 3. Plot-wise, things are starting to get quite interesting again. Overall, I love the art style, music, dialogue, and the plot in general. The controls...are serviceable, but you can tell the game's origins were on a different platform.

Attack of the Friday Monsters! A Tokyo Tale (3DS) - This one has slid on and off my radar for years; I finally jumped for it on a whim. It's a very charming slice of life walking sim with a simple card game thrown in. Tokyo in the early 1970s, playing a 10-year-old doing kid things...very laid back and welcome indeed. The 3D effect is pretty decent too!

Currently playing: Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr's Journey, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch)

Switch:

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Recently started chapter 16, so I'm getting close to the end (I think it has 19 chapters). It's tough, but really fun if you get into a grove and really satisfying if you manage to beat a boss without using any healing items. I just have a feeling that these last few bosses are going to be a real doozy.

PS4:

  • Ace Combat 7 - Another one I'm nearing the end of. It's fun, but I swear it's a lot tougher than the other AC games I've played (granted I've never failed any mission any more than 3-5 times, but it seems like I'm always cutting it close, especially anything with a tight timer, where I'll often win with seconds to go). Just finished up an escort mission where the various potential threats weren't labelled friend or foe until you had them in your sights for a few seconds, which was very tough (especially since it was in a city so I had to get dangerously close to skyscrapers & other structures to identify the myriad of ground targets, which caused a few crashes).
  • Sakura Wars - This on the other hand I just finished up over the weekend. Definitely a slower paced game as you spend most of your time wandering around the theatre/city building affinity with the cast, but I enjoyed their personalities, and combat scenarios, while simple, came along at just the right moments to keep things from getting stale. Also, I really got into the Hanafuda mini game, which was pretty fun.

Xbox Game Pass (via xCloud):

  • Forza Horizon 4 - Super fun. I don't play a lot of racing games so I had to disable many of the sim elements & turn down the AI difficulty, but I'm now in a spot where I'm getting to grips with it and winning most of my races. Really it feels fun to move about the world in a way that feels very Nintendo, which I wasn't expecting.
  • DiRT5 - Another racing game I've been trying my hand at. Although it has realistic graphics it's another one that has the sim elements toned down so it can be pretty accessible. It's pretty fun though I haven't played it much as it's hard to pull myself away from Forza.

Switch: Xenoblade Chronicles DE - Currently on Chapter 5 and about 10-12 hours in I think.

XBox: Trying to finish The Messenger before it leaves Game Pass at the end of the month, but unlikely to get it done in time - might have to buy this one as it's really good. Also some sporadic Forza Horizon 4 & PES when I just want something that I don't have to concentrate too much on.

3DS: Pokemon Picross - just the daily training usually to earn enough Picrites to progress to the next stage of the map. This game would've been awesome if it wasn't for all the free 2 play nonsense.

Finally getting into Astral Chain. I'm really enjoying it, definitely my favorite Platinum game that I've played. I like that it's not just all constant action fighting, but that they mix it up with detective work and stealth and everything. Also seems to be the easiest Platinum game I've played, but there are higher difficulty levels, but I enjoy where it's at and not being told how awful I am after each level with a stone award or maybe a bronze if I'm lucky.

Switch:

  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma - Just finished this up over the weekend. Pretty proud of myself, even if I just beat it on Normal. Not a huge fan of the fictional esoteric European country it mostly took place in (I vastly preferred the Japanese setting of the first couple missions), but combat was fun & satisfying to learn, and I liked the light adventure puzzle/platforming elements.
  • Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 - Naturally, I've jumped right into game 2. It's made some changes which (at least for now) make it seem like it's going to be an easier time (save statues now heal you!), and I'm enjoying it so far. Pretty striking looking game too, with some fantastic art direction.

PS4:

  • Ace Combat 7 - Also finished this one up over the weekend, and the last few missions had me on the on the edge of my seat even moreso than NGS (especially that Arsenal Bird in Chapter 19). Actually, the last mission wasn't so bad because I had enough in-game currency built up to buy one of the best planes. Gorgeous game & a good time, even though I found it harder than the other AC's I've played.
  • the Pedestrian - Just started this up this morning. It's a puzzle platformer where you play as a stickman/woman working your way through blueprints, street signs, and more with gorgeously realized environs in the background (reminds me of Unravel, just not quite as beautiful). Seriously look it up if you haven't heard of it.

Xbox Game Pass (via xCloud):

  • Forza Horizon 4 - Pop into this from time to time (got one of those controller grips for my phone to make playing more comfortable, and it works wonders), and I really enjoy the road, rally, & cross country races.

@kkslider5552000 You're right, I think it's the only thing I didn'd finish in normal mode: Upgrading everything. Farming star fragments did it for me. Guess as soon as I 100% Master Mode (minus the upgrades) I'll finally stop xD

Professor Layton and the Spectre's Call - I use the EU title since I'm playing a UK copy (I love region-free accessibility); it's known as Professor Layton and the Last Specter in North America. A very charming DS game so far, full to the brim with puzzles and a very intriguing mystery. The specter(re) just appeared, and now Layton & Co. are dealing with the aftermath. So far, it's holding up as well as the original trilogy.

Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana (Switch) - I decided to start this in place of Ys IX as 1. it's been backlogged for awhile and 2. I want to see if the latter gets a performance patch. It's an interesting action RPG with an island setting perfect for summer! The controls are smooth and intuitive, the island is fun to explore, and each new person found so far has something to contribute to Castaway Village. The plot isn't too deep yet, though Adol is having some intriguing dreams....

Lately I've been playing Advance Wars: Dual Strike. Still have my copy of it. I've been in an Advance Wars mood recently, so that's pretty much why lol. I did play a little bit of the first game as well, but sadly I got stuck in one of the later missions.
