Sora is very likeable in Kingdom Hearts III. I like how friendly and lighthearted he is.

@WaveBoy I mean you can play it as a shooter but you will find yourself overwhelmed by guards and there's limited bullets it's more to your advantage to either sneak around of brawl or use improvised weapons to take enemies out, but then again that's how Indy rolls. The first person view really makes exploring fun and because of it you can notice alot of things they you would almost miss if this game was third person. Kinda makes me wonder why they didn't make a VR version.

More F-Zero 99, already unlocked four of the Frozen Tour event cosmetics, and defeated a star rival. Also, did the Frozen World Tour this morning, and actually made it to rank 39 after seven races, and earned a new high score. Happy for that actually, I didn't think I would last this long during a World Tour event.

@Tyranexx Just finished MMBN1 and moved on to 2. I started with BN3 White, though technically I did play Network Transmission before that. Which... wasn't a great starting point, not gonna lie. I thought I'd be decently into it since I'm quite familiar with the original Mega Man games, but it wasn't really the case. What got me when I first played NT was the ridiculously weak buster, and the first boss being way too difficult.

It's been a while since I played BN4, but I do remember how it makes you finish the game multiple times to get every Double Soul. That's just bad design... why couldn't the game just have us, the players, get all of them in a single playthrough? If I do revisit BN4, I'll just play through it once and be done with it. I remember it's the one with all the typos too, like Lan's dad saying "there's so many electrical store!" I can see myself getting a good laugh from them at least, lol.

@MarioVillager92 I hope you enjoy MMBN2! It gave me the same vibes I got from 3. MMBN3: White was also my first encounter with the games, though I saw the Mega Man NT Warrior anime on TV too around that time. It was actually gifted to my brother for his birthday by a relative, but he never got into it. I've played at least one version of the games that released since. I've also played MMBN4: Red Sun, MMBN5: Team Protoman (and some of the Colonel side on Double Team DS, which came with both games, but that belonged to a cousin), and both versions of MMBN6 since I liked Cybeast Gregar so much. In fact, 6 overall is my favorite, though 3 is VERY close.

The typos are present in almost all the Battle Nstwork games to be honest. XD I'm wired to notice that stuff. 4 is overall bad game design. One playthrough isn't bad, but you really have to game the game (lol) if you want certain Double Souls in one playthrough. I had to reset one of the tournaments a couple of times if I recall.

@Novamii Oh, it gets better. The game loves throwing a lot of red herrings and false conclusions your way. For the most part, it does a good job of giving each character some development time.

It isn't often that a horror-themed jrpg makes its way to a retail release.

Of recent memory your options are Omori, Shin Megami Tensei V, and...and...?

PS1 was the golden era for these. Koudelka, Parasite Eve, and Shadow Hearts.

@Novamii It's definitely a lot at first, but my brain adjusted in time lol. The VN parts were my favorite. I wasn't as into the strategy side of the game since I much prefer fantasy grid-based settings (Think Fire Emblem or Triangle Strategy), but overall those parts were enjoyable too. I also like some of the OST.

In any case, I'm glad you're enjoying the game! It is definitely worth playing.

Went to play F-Zero 99, and I keep getting disconnected. So instead, I played Jagged Alliance 1 today and cleared the next sector. Yesterday, I did make it to rank 29 on the Frozen World Tour of F-Zero 99, long before I had connection issues.

Honestly, F-Zero 99 is somewhat frustrating me with the connection since the game played fine last night. I restarted my modem, router, and Switch, and it feels like no matter what I do, I keep getting disconnected. I'm hoping this is just the Christmas rush of people getting their new Switches online, and not anything with my Internet as the Internet works fine otherwise on my other devices. So played an offline game today.

Donkey Kong Land on NSO. Levels are refreshingly short. Music is brilliant! I did have this on GB growing up, but never beat it. Surprised I even got as far as I did, probably world 4 or something I think. I really like it though.

Just beaten M+L Brothership........so I needed something like this. You can just play for 5 mins and make progress.

@Sunsy Weird, I've never gotten disconnected from F-Zero 99, even when playing it during one of the NSO weekly points goals.

@FishyS Yeah, I was hoping to collect more gem sparks since I still need to unlock the final reward of the Frozen Tour. Yesterday, and the day before, I had no connection issues. Today, I'd be lucky to get one race in without disconnecting. So I'm guessing it's just the rush of new Switch owners getting online flooding the NSO servers.

At least I know it's not my Internet, I just played an online game on PC with no disconnection. I'm playing some games trying to pass the time to go see Sonic 3.

Played more F-Zero 99 today, and unlocked the final Frozen Tour reward, the spin, totaling 20000 gem sparks. Had a better time playing today only experiencing one disconnect, which ultimately was fault of my ISP. Called them and they said they've been experiencing outages. My guess is this is what happened yesterday too. I thought it was the rush of new Switch users setting up their consoles online.

Also, ended up in the top 10 racers too today, for the first time.

Did some of the Christmas event in World of Tanks Blitz today.

The Game & Watch-like minigames in Kingdom Hearts III are pretty cool. Even more impressive is how many there are. I am in the San Fransokyo level now. Another really wild level. It is hard to believe sometimes, that I am playing a PlayStation 4 and not 5 game. The action is just so over the top and full of heart, I love it.

Just started playing Mario vs. Donkey Kong. This was one of the Switch games I got for Christmas (including Sonic X Shadow Generations and Pikmin 4) and I've been enjoying it. Just wrapped up Merry Mini-Land. As for Mega Man Battle Network 2, I finally got my first style change, HeatShield Style. I was actually hoping the game would give me a fire-element style, and it did! Plus red is my favorite color, lol.

@Tyranexx Definitely enjoying the game. Even got the first style change in my playthrough on the Legacy Collection version. I forgot about the NT Warrior anime! I'd watch that sometimes when it was on, and I even have a DVD of the first few episodes. I've played Red Sun and Team ProtoMan as well. I did have the DS version of Battle Network 5 too, but I no longer have it. That's cool you've played through both versions of Battle Network 6, I've played through Cybeast Falzar years ago, and I do wanna play through Cybeast Gregar when I get to that game in the Legacy Collection.

Yeah I've seen typos in the other games too, lol. Indeed... I think this whole tournament thing might have to do with how stingy this game is with Double Souls. Particularly with how the tournaments are set up. I can't blame you for resetting that one tournament, I might do that too. Thank goodness BN5 and 6 fixed that problem - you can get all the souls and crosses, respectively, in one playthrough in those games.

ToeJam and Earl: Panic on Funkotron - NSO.
Saved this one till Christmas Day so that I could play something 'new', though one I adored and owned as a child. I love the TJ and E series (TJE4 has joint most amount of play time on my Switch with Collection of Mana).

I was very excited to get to a level I had never seen before. I have never beaten it, probably because the Bubble balancing levels were too hard for me as a kid. I know it is the blacksheep that Sega made them make as they wanted a platform game, but I thoroughly enjoy it. It does something different in an era where so many platform games were very alike. The locate and catch the earthing's mechanic is fun to me.

Finished up Raging Bytes.

Going back to Touken Ranbu Warriors.

I love the Dynasty Warriors formula, but playing as a femboy samurai timecop whose clothes explode into tatters after taking twenty percent damage to health, does make me a smidge uncomfortable.

@MarioVillager92 While I prefer the Navi fusions in later games, I do like the style changes in MMBN2 and 3. The shield styles are among my favorites. I loved the anime but wish we'd gotten the later seasons since I believe those were never localized. I went with Red Sun and Team Protoman respectively since they had more exclusives I liked back then. I used online sites as a reference (mainly mmhp.net). I had Cybeast Gregar first and got Falzar later.

MMBN5 and 6 were both significant improvements. I wasn't a huge fan of the liberation missions in 5, but I think I'll appreciate them more nowadays since I do like SRPGs.
