@Eel this is a V1 product pretty much only meant for app devs to tinker with. The option for the "normal Joe" to buy one is more of a bonus and most "normal Joes" buying this will probably be Apple collectors and the odd rich techie.

I like the look of it and it might be my favorite-looking VR headset ever (besides the Google Cardboard, which is top-tier stuff lol).

@blindsquarel That's debatable. I'm pretty happy with my MacBook. It's the base M1 Air model from 2020, and it's been the best laptop I've had.

Even their base model iPad is also an amazing device for media consumption, entertainment, and productivity. So there's value to be found behind the expensive flagship options. It all depends on how much you're willing to be upsold to.

@Owl1 Yeah, hopefully it will thrive within that scene, and we will see them expand the audience in the near future. It would definitely be neat to try it out.

The eye projection on the outside panel looks funny though.

That’s true. And I don’t mean to say that their products are worthless, but I do think they charge too much for them.

@Eel I have used an iPad (long story) and it was great (it was one of the early ones).

I respect Apple for what they do but they are not perfect and I'm far from an Apple fan (more of a casual viewer).

Ya the eye thing is funny.

I have the iPad Air 4 I bought some years ago. I kind of use it a lot. And an iPhone 12 I got for my birthday about two years ago. That one has taken a lot abuse like a champ... I've been lucky it hasn't shattered with how often I drop it...

And of course, my cute little iPod Touch... After its predecessor had that accident with the washing machine... I was lucky enough to get one right before they discontinued them and it became impossible to buy one new. It's not exactly a necessary device to have, but I just think it's neat.

I do have a windows desktop though, and since I used android phones before my current iPhone, I use a small android tablet to keep that account active.

My favorite restaurant is closing June 24th. And it’s in Arizona so I don’t think my family can get down there in time to have one last meal there. ( my dad grew up on the place and inherited his love for it.)

@blindsquarel ah perhaps if it's important for him too, you could plant the idea of going before it closes.

Apple, my favorite thing to never have! At least it's not xiaomi realme vivo or oppo, but still.

@Owl1 ah these colored ones are neat. Very vibrant.

I've heard they're in a kind of an awkward middle spot, where the plain base model under them is a better deal for the price, and the next one in the price ladder is over-all a better option.

So basically the only reason to pick these, would be the color.

@Eel I just checked Amazon(ca) and man they are fairly priced for such useful tech... They still cost more than a Switch lol... I am now kinda worried about the next Switch's price since the current one (all things considered) is nicely priced.

Best case scenario we go out, but it’s unlikely. The next few weeks are super busy so it likely won’t happen.

Which means there is only 1 play left. They are desperate. Sometime during the last week they are open, I ( or someone else in my family) calls the restaurant. We make an offer to buy the soft taco recipe from them.( AKA, the best thing on the menu.) it is a Hail Mary, but it could work.
