@GforGoomba Probably depends. If you post it within a thread and it doesn't include anything inappropriate, then it'll probably be OK. But we don't generally allow new users to use the forums to advertise their content hosted elsewhere. Established users might get a bit more slack in that respect.

It's that time of day:

I already want to smack the entirety of middle management at my new job and honestly if it was my call they'd be fired immediately.

You want this store set up. The actual manager helps with unloading, passing items down, just making things faster.

These muppets, hell no. Stand around. Every now and then, every few boxes I run across the store (And the other 25 or so of us at the moment) they will stop and ask "Do you know what this is/where you are taking it?".

Obviously I do, you morons, now why are you stood there, not helping and making this go by quicker when it is YOUR store we need to open, and why are you stopping every one of us, which over the course of the day when added up probably stops us doing one or two more pallets?

Why are you, the management, so inept at managing? Why are you delaying our productivity, that impacts YOUR store? Why are YOU not helping YOUR store?

To top it all off, if I'm unsure about an item that looks like it belongs in more than one spot, I'll ask. You know this. I do this a lot, since we stock literally everything under the sun. Yet you STILL insist on wasting mine and others precious time preparing this store with inane questions when YOU could be helping and making this go by significantly quicker.

And if that wasn't enough, they obscure the labels for the aisles with their standing. Thank you for withholding a quick 1 second read of a piece of paper, instead replacing it with having to ask you what aisle you are obscuring. I told one of them this and their response was "Well I know what it is and I can stand where I want."

Do your job. Manage the store. Maximise productivity and efficiency. I expect better and the hard working people who are AHEAD OF SCHEDULE could be further ahead by now. But no, you're **** at your job. I demand peak performance from all members of the team I am in. The supervisors do their part. The manager does his. Middle management absolutely doesn't. There are better, faster, superior ways to do this. There are team members not doing their part. This drags the process down.

Remember you're just starting, go with the current.

Don't drown yourself in their problems, it's not your place to do the calls. And people like that are easily annoyed.

@Yosheel It becomes my problem when they actively impede our work. Personally, I don't stand for that.

Agree with Yosh. Let them find out how much rope they need to tie their noose. Their (lack of) effort wont carry them far when trying to motivate folks, or help consumers, or even run a shift by themselves.

And I agree with Yosh on the other point, GC; Looking over other posts...well, reading comprehension is a forgotten art for some users.

@Yosheel My manager hired me upon observing that I am trained in maximising productivity. He is well aware of much it irritates me if something is done below what it could be.

I'll likely bring it up with him when I next see him. I can understand wanting to understand and observe that we know where we are going, but the unpackers tell us, we read the box, we go there. The store is now memorised, save for upstairs that isn't done.

The inability for middle management to drop their high horse and do the graft is insane. I've led a few teams today myself, mostly when working alone leads to others helping, and things run quickly and efficiently. I know the assistant manager has observed this.

I can only hope as the project continues the ethic improves in those individuals. A team is only as strong as its weakest member, and right now the weak ones are calling the shots on the show floor.

Agreed. The platform I DO have will not be graced with this game's presence outside of Japan.

...Well there is PC, but my laptop is built more for decent processing and not graphics.

BTW, thanks for the tip elsewhere about the Liquid Metal Slimes. Farming those (along with Sancho's Whistle) has made leveling both him and the kids relatively painless.

In terms of any sort of Slime, I've only recruited a normal Slime and a Slime Knight. I spent a little while trying to recruit a King Slime to no avail.

Probably my best acquisition so far has been a Golem.

You need to get all that so you can travel back in time, and you'll need to disguise yourself so that you aren't recognized. This is all pointing to 2 things: Tomorrow's Direct will feature a new Time Travel feature in the latest stability update, and Marty McFly will be in Smash.
