Topic: Question for the Pokemon fans out there.

What is the rarest Pokemon to have in the main series of games? I've played most of the games, and I'm just wondering if you are playing Pokemon Black & White for instance, what is the hardest of all 500+ Pokemon to acquire? I know a lot of Pokemon are exclusive to the games, so how hard for instance is it to have an original Mew or Mewtwo? Or Charizard? Is it even possible to "Carch em All" anymore?

Probably Mew (without hacking the game). The only way to aquire it in the old games (R/B/Y) was through a very limited contest or something (you couldn't get it through any sort of normal gameplay), and it wasn't in the Gen 2 (G/S/C) or 3 (R/S/E) as far as I know.

Of course, I stopped playing after R/S/E on GBA, so I have no idea if Mew has ever been included in the newer games (with downloadable Pokémon and all that).

No, there is a wiiware that allows you to get a mew. But deoxys.

I say Celebi

These days most event Pokemon gets an event at least once a generation and with Wi-Fi getting our hands on one isn't that hard. I wouldn't really say there is one Pokemon that is really, really hard to get.

Mew and Celebi wild wise and technically Cressilia and Darkrai because they aren officially available in D&P but are in Platinum.

Genesect was pretty hard to get for a while, but then there was an event for it.

Nah, Cresselia was available post-game for you to get (and then hunt down since it was a roaming legendary). Darkrai could only be legally acquired through an event.

Celebi & Jirachi.

Seeing as you need to own every Pokemon in that game before it gives you Mew, yeah Mew.

No I believe you need 1000 Pokemon, which shouldn't be hard, as long as you have 1000 pokeballs
Didn't we just get Mew recently via wifi event? However a Deoxys event hasn't happened a while ago. I believe the last event to get a Deoxys was purchasing Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs for a limited time.
Spiky Eared Pichus are also pretty rare.

I think it is Celebi. The english version never had a promotion for her for GSC, and RSE was out of the question. It wasn't until late in 2005 that they gave her away for a Pokemon rocks promo, but IT WAS ONLY IN SAN DIEGO. Why don't they ever do it in Iowa?

Anyways, after that, we only had ONE more event since, the Wi-fi event for HGSS, so I think she's the rarest as she's only been given out twice, while Deoxys was given out a lot during the tour and the GameStop event and the Pokemon ranger game. Mew is actually common as she was given out for R/B/Y, given out for Fire-red Leafgreen and then another Emerald promotion (But that used the old sea map E-reader card, which is EXTREMELY rare and doesn't work in the US version), then the 10th anniversary mew for HGSS.

No clue...maybe Deoxys for me...I got Mew, Celebi, and Jirachi via Mystery Gift, so...yup.

I'd say Jirachi, Celebi and Notched Ear Pichu.

And no, it's impossible to carth them all. Though I do think you can catch them all.

I'd say Meloetta just because so far it had only an event in Japan. To my knowledge all others had at least 2 recently.
