@Tendo64 That's a really good way of putting it. When we were kids, buying a new game was like Christmas, it was an event. Now, I feel like I play games I'm not particularly interested in for the sake of having played the popular game at the moment. And it just diminishes their value, sentimentally, to me at least.

And yeah, subscription services probably don't help in that regard, which is why I'm a bit iffy about their growth in recent years

I want to get into the Fire Emblem series a lot more this year. I've only played Three Houses and will be playing Engage, but I want to become more familiar with the series and why it's so beloved.

Hopefully, get into the Xenoblade series as well. I've played a good few hours of Definitive Edition but haven't fully committed to it. I mainly want to get into the series because of how excellent 3 is supposed to be.

Aside from these two series, I want to be able to play shorter games for the most part. A lot of my games in 2022 were really, REALLY long. Like the longest games I've ever played. I'd like to cut back on that a bit to get some shorter experiences.

@StarPoint Might want to grab the 3DS Fire Emblems while they're still live on the eshop, then. If nothing else, Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation is going to be VERY hard to access via legal methods soon.

Currently Playing: Yakuza Kiwami 2 (SD)

@Ralizah Yeah, I may unfortunately have to access these games through not-so-legal means. I don't own a 3DS currently so my access to these games aren't ideal
