Woke up, got dressed, beat a couple of chapters in Fire Emblem: Awakening, had lunch, watched the Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, bought some fireworks, went to a cookout at my grandmother's place & visited with family for the afternoon, shot off the fireworks I had bought earlier, came home & entered some Pepsi lid codes online, and now I'm here
How was you're 4th?

Up until 4:30, browsing the internet, watching anime, went to sleep.
Got up, decided I just had to beat Resonance of Fate today, but the last part of the game is just so tedious and frustrating. Went to get some pizza for a break from the tedium and frustration, and ended up scalding my mouth...
After that though, saw a great fireworks show, and beat the game.
I got up went with my son to a donut place and had a donut and chocolate milk with him. Then we went food shopping for supplies for our BBQ today. After that we bought some fireworks. Came home played Borderlands with him for a few hours and than watched the latest episode of Angry Video Game Nerd. Found out that Borderlands 2 DLC was 50% off today as part of the XBLA Ultimate game sale so I bought a couple DLC packs. Played World of Warcraft a bit today. Then I BBQ some chicken drumsticks and hamburgers we ate than we shot off some fireworks. And now I am replying to this thread.

I don't live in the US but my brother and I finished Bioshock: Infinite for the first time, in hard (well, he played and I watched), that counts as celebrating their Independence day in my book.
As I recall it went something like this:
Drinking
Drinking
Eating some great BBQ
Drinking
Making homemade fireworks
Drinking

Drinking
Setting off the fireworks

Sleep.

Hey check out my awesome new youtube channel shingi70 where I update weekly on the latest gaming and comic news form a level headed perspective.
I went to an aborium (basically a park with exotic labelled trees, plants, and higher end landscaping). I walked through an old forest, which had a cabin that was built almost a century ago (the wood it was built with was even older, having been taken from a 1800's barn), strolled around a lake, and just had a relaxing time. It rain lightly halfway through, which was actually nice since it kept the walk cool.
Later my family went with my relatives to watch the local fireworks. Now, I don't like the loud booms, so I had my trusty 3DS with me and some headphones to minimize the noise. Via the music app, I listened to this during most of the show, and it was perfect.
Pretty good. Lighting off some fireworks. Launcher tips over. Shoots fireworks into small crowd of family. Life flashes before eyes. Besides that, good BBQ.

We prepared some food and went camping where our families would usually camp. But not all of them were able to make it for that day, so now we're having another round today with more people coming. So yeah, our event's carrying on organically rather than carefully planned. And while my family didn't buy fireworks due to budget constraints, another family are bringing some AND we apparently kept much of the same fireworks from last year due to bad weather. And so we lit ours carefully, finding 2 duds. One of them didn't blow up after flying into the sky and just sparkled instead, while the other weakly propelled up into the sky and blew up too close to us (lighters) and the ground. Now I worry about the former that didn't blow up since there might still be active explosives in there and it gets pretty hot here D:D:D:
