Topic: does anyone know many e3 there are

i know there is one coming in june

Ces is in January
GDC is in Marc
E3 is in June
SDCC is in July
TGS is in Septemeber

and I know i'm missing some other ones.
With smaller events sprinkled through out.

@shingi_70 - Gamescom is the big one you're missing there, and maybe PAX as well.

As for the actual E3, there's only the June one held in L.A. There are no other E3s held during the year, though Gamescom is like Europe's E3 and TGS is Japan's.

What's SDCC?

CES is the Consumer Electronics Show, it isn't just about gaming. So that one doesn't really count.

So basically, you were asking how many gaming/electronic conventions are there.

PAX Prime and PAX East are in there too. But just one E3 and it's in June. It's the big one.

Posting in Hall of Fame worthy thread. Also, there is only ONE E3 per year.

@tendoboy1984 - SDCC = San Diego Comic Con. Falls into the same boat as CES. _{and can you add me back please?}

@slayerzack - E3 is for gaming journalists only, _{and whoever's there promoting stuff,} but they (the journalists/gaming companies) are pretty good about getting everything that happens there online very quickly, so usually you can find out what's going on within a few minutes of it actually occurring.

yeah the presentations are usually streamed online or aired on G4, and this past year our own Corbs was there on the floor tweeting updates as they occured, so even without a fast internet, you can still get updates

Comic Con isn't a gaming convention, it's mainly about comic books and animation, and the culture surrounding it.

There are 3 E3s a year hence the name E3.

I was just naming the major Genre conventions tech or otherwise.

@tendoboy1984 - What I meant by SDCC being like CES is that while both feature video games, they're not the main focus of the conventions, but more of something to supplement them. _{and i mean 3DS friend codes, i recall you saying you would add me a few months ago or something like that but it never happened}

Actually, I was just trying to have a side conversation with @tendoboy1984 during those past few notes of mine while I knew he was frequently checking this board, hence my use of the subscript during those posts. But, if you post your Friend Code in your signature, I'll be sure to add you to my list asap, and it'll autocorrect my name to Birdman once we're both friends.

Anyway, back to the conversation at hand (or what's left of it, anyway).
