Topic: Strange find on cartridge?

I was studying the details of my DS game collection, and noticed this strange oddity which I've never seen before on any of my other DS game cartridges. This is on my "Nintendogs: Dachshund and Friends" copies.
I own two of this exact same copy, both bought used from GameStop.
On the contacts of the game chip, where a line of numbers would normally be, one specific copy says "Nintendo", followed by three numbers, whereas one just has the regular line of numbers.
I've never seen another cartridge saying "Nintendo" on the contacts.
Both of these copies are exactly alike; both official, both US versions, etc.
So... what's up with it??
I'm new to the forums, so if someone could explain to me how to upload images, I'm sure that would help a lot more than my crappy explanation of this phenomenon.

@Ninten110 You can't upload images. But if your pic is hosted somewhere, you can embed the picture with script:

[ img ]picture web address[ /img ]
Type the script without spaces, and it will work.
(Videos however don't need script. Just paste the youtube link, and the site automatically embeds the video.)

Maybe this video can help? Forgive me if it doesn't. I pasted the video to start at the time part where they talk about DS carts - Real vs Fake.

In short, if it says 'Nintendo' above the contacts then it's a fake cartridge. No big deal, but hardcore collectors won't pay as much for a fake. Generally I'm not too fussy if it looks real and plays normally, but if it's one of the more expensive games then if I'm paying extra I want it to be legit.

But the very fact that a game like the one you've got has been faked, and is one of the most obvious fakes, suggests to me that the DS market is swimming in fakes. I'm sure I must have some that I don't realise are fake.

Post a picture of it on Reddit and you're almost guaranteed to be told it's a fake for one reason or another.

You guys had me at blood and semen.

I really don't believe it's fake. Everything on it is exactly the same as the official copy I own. No difference whatsoever, besides the code on the game chip. Same front sticker, same back code, same cartridge color/quality and it doesn't have any of the signs stated in that video. It's obviously legit, but I don't understand the Nintendo thing. Here's a photo, if it helps.
Image hosting sites aren't working on my phone, but here's a link to the photo on Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=883637745397549&a...
