The really surprise is its the same price as the 3DS. Honestly I dont see the point of this for 170 you might as well get a 3DS for that price. Unless you like the pink color scheme.

I'm really surprised Nintendo is brave enough to do that. They'll probably drop the price soon.

The DSi XL is, and always will be, better suited to older gamers than the 3DS. Bigger screen, bigger stylus, good choice of preinstalled software and a huge DS library too. For those people, the 3DS library just isn't big enough, nor does it have the games, to warrant a 3DS purchase, even if it is the same price.

I've always thought the 3DS and the DSi XL complement each other really well so I can't say I'm surprised the latter is still being supported.

Well, since it's most likely coming out to coincide with Kirby: Mass Attack's release, it's still kind of pointless to get it since you can upgrade to a 3DS for only $10 more.
