Topic: Regarding replacement reviews

Some of you may have noticed one or two of our old reviews have been redone recently.

On rare occasions we may decide to rewrite reviews if we strongly feel they were badly written or far off the mark. Out of respect for the original reviewer we try not to make a big deal out of this by publicising the replacement review, and this would also cause confusion for readers.

Our review stance hasn't changed: we have close to 1,500 reviews in our database and less than 1% of these have had to be reviewed again. We're not flawless however, and when we make a mistake we try to rectify it, which is what we did in this instance.

We hope you understand that we would rather keep discussion of these review changes away from the main site, hence why forum posts and user comments have been deleted and the user in question emailed, but if you'd like to discuss it further please use the Contact form to get in touch with the admin team and we'll do our best to answer your questions.
