Now look. About a year or two ago there were people charging steep prices on eBay. Metroid Prime Trilogy averaging $80 a copy and some sellers pushing $120. Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn averaging $60 but some sellers pushing $80-90. Even the almighty Earthbound was just $300. But now?
A quick search for the LE of Hyrule Warriors shows this is not isolated anymore. $2000 buy it now price for the NA version. $1400 buy it now price for the NA version, and oh, "that's a steal"...
Idk what's worse- the fact this is becoming standard practice or the fact so many people are buying into it. Scalping is one thing but this? This is beyond greed. In fact I think we need to come up with a new term for this because there's really no words that can describe what's going on here.
Am I the only one noticing this abrupt onslaught of unprecedented greed? Or, whatever you want to call it?

Perhaps, but I saw a listing for $1,000 with bids on it. Which tells me people are going for it. And there's so many listings now for $1000 or more, I just don't understand how it came to this.
I don't mind paying a premium for hard to find or rare games, but good grief this is WAYYYY beyond a premium. Here, let me just go get my deed to my house real quick, cause ya know, that $200 handheld is really worth a reverse mortgage.

Why feel bad? There are other options besides the Zelda 3DS.

Yup. There's a demand for outrageously overpriced collectables, as this clearly suggests. I can't blame the seller for accepting the money, but this isn't something I'd take pride in doing if I were them.
I don't understand the mentality here. It's not as if the Majora's Mask New 3DS XL is super rare (at least not yet) as Nintendo has announced another shipment in March. I suppose that sellers like these are trying to exploit those in regional areas who may not have the option to order items like these. Still, this sort of behaviour is inexcusably despicable and I wish that people would stop indulging them.

That's rediculous... I recall last year when I was desperate for a new ps4 I was searching all over eBay and the various interwebs and I found them going for $800+! The fact that people would mark a console up that much is abserd but the fact that people would buy into it is outrageous! This isn't scalping... This is cutting off the whole head, legs, arms and leaving the torso for the buzzards.
