(please excuse my english)

Hello,

i bought my New 3ds with 3 games a few days ago and I am very happy

But i was wondering when I looked at my games. After some use and changing games I saw some scratches at the golden plates at the back of my games... I hope you guys know what I mean... Is this normal?

Yes it's normal, don't worry about it...

Systems: Wii U, Wii, New 3DS Ambassador Edition, 2DS
Amiibo Collection: Villager, Rosalina, Zelda, Sheik, Toon Link, Link, Marth, Ike, Robin, Lucina, Pit, Shulk, Fox, Yoshi, Toad, Squid Inkling, Meta Knight, Ganondorf (pre-ordered), Yarn Yoshi (pre-ordered)

I am afraid that if I am changing the games often they will scratch totally and won't work any more when the scratches go deeper...

Is it normal that the 3ds sometimes does not reads the game and I have to put it out an in again. It happens 1 times in 30

All I know is the one game I have that really looks like it shouldn't work for the reason you state (NSMB) works perfectly.

Yes if it happens like once it's normal,it's just the game that's dirty or something. So don't worry about it,but if happens every time you put it in,then you should be worried.

I'm currently playing Faith The Unholy Trinity, Dead Space( remake), Crow Country and Steel Rising.

Ok thank you. It happens only 1 time of 30 changes.

I mean, do you ever had this problem because your game was too old and have been used to much?

Older games tend to struggle to be read. It's because they get dirty and the contacts get damaged with time. They should still work though, they just become less reliable.

It's normal and will happen regardless of your actions, so don't worry too much about it and enjoy your games.

Is the Sound normal that you hear when you push a game in or out? When you listen near to your ear it's feels like there is sand in it but it isn't I don't know how to describe that sound... I was just wondering I own my 3ds for 3 days now and it a new device

Is it exactly 1 in 30 times?

Oh here we go again another n3ds hypochondriac lol. Everything is normal, is this your first nintendo handheld?

If it plays the games and all the buttons work in game & sound as its supposed to the unit is fine.

Yes sometimes games won't read this is normal for cartridge based consoles, just domitsomewhat slowly and it usually works better. If it doesn't read the cartridge then try again, if it doesn't work for 2-5 times in a row then you might have a problem, and even then it could be the game.

I had this issue with some cartridges. Some people will tell you to blow on them but it's better to use a vacuum cleaner, just be careful and hold the cartridge tight!

I really don't like the navigation bar of Nintendo Life continuously reappearing while browsing!!

If it really gets that bad, I tend to use a bit of anti-oleophobic gold plating and ionize it back onto the game cartridge. If you do this, the gold plating bit will never scratch again.

Or, just download from eShop, no physical problems then.
